Eco Friendly Beyond Foam

BASF’s Walltite Eco® is a revolutionary spray foam insulation product that is the result of several years of research and development. Walltite Eco® is a new medium density 2lb spray foam insulation. BASF utilizes recycled materials as well as renewable resources to make the first 2lb spray foam to be given the EcoLogo®, a distinction BASF is very proud of.

As most polyurethane foam insulation manufacturers strive to meet ecologically-friendly standards, they must use recycled materials and use renewable resources. For this process they need a crop to be planted, fertilized, harvested and then processed into a suitable form. BASF uses a seed that does not need to be cooked and processed. This in turn eliminates the use of fossil fuels being used in the insulation’s manufacturing process, making a truly environmentally friendly insulation. As well, BASF uses a seed that is not a primary food source. This is significant in that no seed or food type is taken away from human consumption.

Beyond Foam Insulation is proud to be Calgary’s premiere provider of ecologically friendly insulation. With Walltite Eco we feel we offer consumers the very best foam insulation product available. With its environmental friendliness, excellent health benefits and affordability it is the perfect insulation for your Calgary home or business.

Environmental Certifications and Awards for Walltite Eco Insulation

Walltite Eco® is the first medium density polyurethane insulation to earn the EcoLogo®, one of the most widely recognized environmental certifications in North America. We feel this level of achievement is the new minimum standard a CCMC certified medium density polyurethane foam insulation will need to have if they want to claim being safe and environmentally sound.

In addition Walltite Eco® has been awarded the Greenguard Children and Schools certification for indoor air quality, thus ensuring optimal occupant comfort and safety. It has also been recognized as a best in class insulation and air barrier system through an Eco-Efficiency analysis measuring total cost and ecological impact.
